Domain Aliases

Last updated: May 29, 2025

A domain alias is a secondary domain name that points to the same content as your primary domain. While a regular domain is the main address users type to reach your website, an alias domain offers alternative ways to access the same content. This can be particularly useful for marketing campaigns, regional branding, or simply providing users with an easier-to-remember URL.

However, Replo itself does not directly manage or host domains. Instead, Replo publishes content to your Shopify theme's which generally controls the front end experience of Shopify storefront. Your storefront handles all domain-related settings. This means that any domain aliases or custom domains you want to use will be managed through Shopify or your chosen domain provider.

If you’re using Shopify for your domain management, adding domain aliases is a straightforward process.

Change domain type:

  • Click Change domain type

  • Select Alias domain

  • Finally click Change domain type

  • After everything, verify that the domain alias works as intended!

Note: You can also purchase a domain through Shopify here and follow the steps above to setup domain aliases.
